A New Life

I haven't posted in....well...quite possibly over a year. Davis is always saying to me, "please post on your blog!" and I never listen to him, because no one but him will read this. :P

But..then I remember that I would probably like to read these in some distant future someday. I'm also avoiding other things I should be doing by writing this. Ha.

Well, since it's been a while...things have obviously changed greatly. I've moved to OBU as a vocal performance major. It hasn't been easy at all, but it's been very worth it. I've learned so many things here already. It's hard not having a nervous breakdown sometimes..but I never thought I would get to where I am now. It's definitely a God thing.

I suppose I don't really have that much to say. I thought I would be able to come up with something deep and philosophical, but I guess not today.

This turned out to be real entertaining.

Maybe I should write a novel.
It would end up being...a page long. :)

I'll think about writing later.

Art Is Infinite

I'm learning that there are many more different kinds of art than the obvious. Art can be found in absolutely anything...as I was talking to Davis about the other day. It can be found in music, literature, theatre, paintings, sculptures, buildings, languages...anything like that of course. But then there are also movies, anime, and even video games that can contain absolute and incredible beauty within them. You just have to search in order to find it.
Recently I came across these two wonderful videos illustrating how something as simple as sand can create beautiful works of art. Two artists use their fingers to create extraordinary artistry and tell a story, while gentle music plays in the background to tug at your heartstrings. This was an art that I instantly wished I could do...because it is so unique and so stirring.

Watch, and let your mind be open to the infinite world of art.

Enthralled By Music

Music is beautiful...and more thrilling and glorious than we could ever fully realize. It is so God inspired...God breathed... nothing or no one else could create something so incredibly magical. I believe that music itself speaks for us when there are no words...and when words are needed, it somehow knows...and brings the lyrics to our lips.
Music is inspring. It can be gentle...yet rough. Soft...and then loud. A whisper...then a scream. It can be anything...anything you want to hear... It is imagination itself. Without it...our spirits would find no reason to soar. If there was no music, we would live...but we would not be...alive.

Music is the very rhythm of my heart.

An August Rush video... watch it. You'll see why I wrote this.

I is a girl

I have decided I love hats (and yes..this MIGHT have had something to do with a special someone who always wanted me to wear them...). Especially the one I bought today. It's knitted style and dark green. It sort of lays on my head. I absolutely love it, because I feel artistic when I wear it. :)
I also got a sweet smelling perfume, which reminds me of sugar everytime I smell it. Makes sense...considering the fact that it's called "Pink Sugar". :P
I love being a girl. It's so much fun.
Anyways...just decided I would share that. I am now off to go find something to snack on and indulge in some Twilight. *Cue screaming girls*
I'll post something deeper later...

The first entry...

This blog reminds me of Xanga. I have to say, I've missed blogging. It has been too long. I hope somehow this will catch on with everyone else, because I love sharing my random thoughts with the world...whether anyone cares or not. It's just always relieving to spill your thoughts out into the open. It inspires creativity and meaning...and causes one's heart to be enriched and satisfied.

Yes, all that is to be said about simple blogging. I realize that's a bit much...but still. I've missed it.

Of course I got this because Davis got one and it looked fun. Who knows how much I'll update it...we'll see. I used to update Xanga every day, but that was back when everyone actually liked blogging. Now we're all obsessed with Facebook. :P

Anyways, I think I shall take my leave for now and figure out how to customize this thing.
